Stay Forever: When We Are Together

Pan Pao-ying, a former village chief, is affectionately known as "Baoma," the all-knowing expert of kaadaadaan. Although she is of the Puyuma tribe, she has been deeply connected to this land ever since moving here as a child.

Together with many others, she has worked tirelessly to reclaim traditions, utilizing local, chemical-free ingredients to develop tribal products. She has also created innovative food items like chili sauce and xilao, blending tradition with modern flavors to boost the local economy alongside her fellow tribespeople.

Always wearing a bright smile, Baoma says, “Being willingly and tightly bound to this land is a kind of unspoken happiness!”
